It does, my mistake. I don't know why, I was quite sure the date was two months ago. I was quite drunk when reading the fn topic and than too lazy to click it once again to check the date... Sorry.

Ok, if so, then why doesn't he step in here, just to explain his absence or say goodbye, if he doesn't want to come back. After all, it's not us who stole his data. Or perhaps...?

with ref to bobble and the monkey

It all started one dark lonley night , tired and feeling weary monkey turned off the freeway onto a dirt road looking for a short cut which he never found.
It started at a deserted dinner were he pulled in and dozed off.
It started when he was arouzed by sounds and lights coming from a craft the like of which he'd never seen before.
It was bobble....a being from a dying planet.....his destination EARTH.....he was here to make it his world.
This was the start of 'THE BUBBLE BOBBLE'

p.s.
dont ever say i dont tell ya anything

hehe...not from this planet.....

yikes
sweet lord.
had to take a step back. Dont know what happened to bobble.
'el mondo gira' means 'as the world spins', a spanish soap opera(more or less) from an x-files episode, in referance to me leaving, i didnt want to make anysort of deal/fuss/me bitching about stuff i'm not sure of, as i overeact from my natural paranoia. ah, shock/surprise me, hell yeah i go into defence, one more person shows up at my mom's house or my place lookin for me and i'll jackie chan them into a woodchipper to the full extent of the law or view of witnesses. Just kidding, my lawyers tell me violence never solves anything, and they said it with a straight face this time, so i believe them.
I got enough friends in real life, if i wanted you to know my name/address/phonenumber/whatever, i would tell you. Its not the hardest thing to get this info, but i throw out enough honeypots to fool the average bee.

Hey, I don't want to know your name, @MS. But it was not stolen via the forum.
This is one of the reasons I don't like mirc and stuff like this, you never know.

ah,
finding someones person info is pretty easy, even thru this forum(as a mod).
once you have the ip#(you see it as a mod), do a whois with something like-
http://www.ripe.net/perl/whois

you got the company the subscriber(assuming they use thier own name to pay for the service), call up the company(i lost my password, boo hooo, and i need to access my email to read my grandkids emails, boo hoo, i know nothing about komputares, im an old grandmother...blah blah.... this is INTERPOL and we have reports of ip number xxxxxxxxxx sending child pornography/spamming/selling drugs/mispells too many words).........

won't work with most isps, even the ultimate crapiness of BT you have to state your name, address, security password and some other details before they'll talk to you.

No isp would be so stupid to give you personal details... they are the first thing they ask for :)

You don't exactly phone up and go; "I've lost my name and address, I can give you my IP. Please can you tell me my personal details"

It's slightly harder to do :) On top of that, most the info people give on the net is fake.

hehe,
i 'hypothetically'did it that way before.
But i guess ive been employed in the telecomunications field on occasion(a smidgen of a fraction of a little bit, really). i dont know much to anything about this sort of thing, i just got really damn thick glasses and a lot of freetime.

social engineering just takes immagination, not that im encouraging that crap. I'm just saying(errr, warning) others that personal/private information isnt as hard to get as it should be. nothing is annonymous.
