this is just so fukt up!! what do they expect ppl 2 do with BB FFS? save themselves a few seconds when retrieving email?
guess iptv or woteva it is called is a no no for nthell then as after a couple of movies u would get moody letters from customer services stating that if u dont stop watching y'll get cut off?

what do they expect to get from this? how comes smellywest are still categorically stating that they are not goin to introduce or impose caps!!

what happens when the merger happens (and it will soon) does it mean if yr an nthell customer u get the shit end of the stick? with smellywest ppl having it easy.

wankers!!

292Gb good going buddie a good 100 more than mine (mine was 178gbs) maybe theyre sending letters from the smallest to largest order,as I know a few 400gb+ users from usenet who havent got one.Unless theyre giving us lower range people the option of slowing down, and theyre gonna just ban those with that kinda massive figure.

Ive actually slowed down a touch since getting my letter, but not to the point ive a cat in hells chance of getting under 30gbs.

They used to cap us here on Eastlink in Canada... 30 gig cap/month ... alot of people left them and complained now there is no cap. Caps are lame anyways, coz 80% of the people with these ISPs dont even use 10 gigs a month.. just surfers. So ya, leave them if theyre gonna cap you.. Cheap bastids.

Im at about 120 gigs a month.. good thing for dvd burners..

I'm over 100Gb since then.

They're not monitoring until september, so I'm going for gold until then

i'd see it out for a bit pc_acrade really,so far its all empty threats,we all know they'll soon change their minds when 100s & 1000s bail out on 'em,so far ntl are probably keeping new members signing up as much as old ones are leaving, but when the shit hits the fan Ive a feeling it'll be back to the good old leave the customers alone days.

we got the ntl bill this morning, no letter in sight, but cant see how as i must surely go over my limit (bt+emule+irc running together see to that  ) i remember last time the cap came in, customers left, ntl caved in and removed it, then the second time, tehy removed it, are they just fucking idiots who can't learn teh most obvious lesson? i mean only about 3-10% of the users probably even use the service to its fullest extent anyway, everyone else (from what ive heard from others who use it) "i just use it for emails and getting mp3s" so what exactly is the problem with us power users getting value for money, the ntl service certainly doesnt provide it so we find it in other ways by dlding the entire internet in a month

god they have some nerve, they cant even keep our telephones working, both lines in my house have been knocked out at least 12 times in the last month, and sometimes for more then 24 hours, amusingly the ntl website just says "sorry if you need help please ring us" DUH!!

if they can't even run a slow speed like 2-3 meg then how on earth are they gonna handle EVERYONE on a 10meg line. what they probably havent admitted yet is when they say everyone is gonna be ona 10meg line they mean the entire userbase is gonna be on one singular 10meg line connected to each house in the uk and u better not go over your 300k dl limit

fucking idiots, :eatthis:

heh mines are a lousy 188gb on 2mb line, my defense is I was off full speed hardcore download for 2 weeks :P

Since I am moving house at the beginning of Oct, so i don't care what they want to do to me haha, I will probably just cancel ntl and get BT and look for some nice adsl isp :D
