@graag: Ahh, how nice with an intelligent comment. very well said, but if you watch the movie you'll see the camera always zooming in on genitals and I could see no reason to why. Clark wanted to show reality, sure, but why does he have to zoom in on it? Whatever happened to the power of subtle suggestion? Is there any reason to why all those scenes had to be real?
About Polanski, I might be wrong, but from what I've read, that girl was completley voluntary involved. It was just the little matter of her age being 13? Now did he know that? And should he be able to tell? (look at asian girls for example, very hard to tell if they're 14 or 30) bawh.. this is all legal jungle territory... anyway, I love his movies way to much. =)
@spud: If you saw the movie, you would probably have no doubt about it's belonging here, but telling you would spoil it. It's actually just a mix of those 3 movies I mentioned (Salo, Heavenly Creatures, Visitor Q) and none would argue about those being horror? But it's no big deal to me if it's not on here. I allready have it and with a simple search anyone will find it very easily because of it being extremely well spread. As I said, if it was wrong then I truely apologize for posting it in the first place.
@PrayeR: please remember to always post a big spoiler warning before you ruin a movie for everyone that haven't seen it.

My thoughts on the movie, was at a friend's housewarming and all the older kids (lucky for me mine were not there with me )were in the family room and they were watching movies . I went down to check on them and let me tell you the first thing I saw was the computer screen and I freaked out !! In my opinion not only is it p0rn but it is kiddie p0rn.I actually mentioned the movie to my oldest son and he said it's all the buzz at his school and kids without access are d/l it for them, I was so disgusted I called the school and asked the principal to send a letter to parents who might not know what the movie really is.
Just my opinion tho

Reason? Perhaps only to shock the viewer. If it's really so, he was successful - we're already on the fourth page of this thread. While we're zooming - was THAT zoom in In The Realm of the Senses really neccessary?
About Polanski, he may did it and he maybe didn't, but that's not the point. What I meant was all the mumbo jumbo around boycotting The Pianist and it's Oscar nomination plus all his movies. Or, if we feel like boycotting and burning, there's a person closer to the modern horror scene: Victor Salva of Jeepers Creepers franchise (check the comments too). Or if we go further back: should Hitler's painting be burnt?

well that's very interesting question about pr0n in normal movies...
sometimes it looks good.. sometimes - not.
i dunno, did u see those titles or not -
La donna lupo (comedy + 1 short blowjob + short fook... well... average comedy)
Caligula (great movie. i enjoyed)
Guardami (blowjob + some strip. hmm still can not get eng subtitles)
Hotel St. Pauli (blowjob.. argh. it seems to be very good movie, but i still can not find it. shit )
Baise moi (sucks imo)
In the realm of sences (u saw it... but imo it's average movie)
Ken Park (IMO sucks)
Il Diavolo in corpo (Maruschka Detmers, actually was first famous actress who made pr0n in movie. blowjob. can not find it. only found clip.. but i wanan see whole movie of course)
Romance (with Rocco.. stupid movie)
Pola X (well. it's not bad... even good.. but too boring for me)
all those titles, except Hotel St. Pauli and Il Diavolo in corpo,
r shared.
maybe u can add more titles?

Idioterne (1998)
http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0154421/
I have only seen pictures from it and they were pretty x-rated..
The perverts here probably recognise the name "Trine Michelsen"

first of all all the actors in KP were 18 or older, so the movie is perfectly legal. of course that?s only the juridical side and the movie should not be viewed by minors, i think so far we can agree. but now i don?t see people complaining about the various teen-lolita-pr0n sites all over the net, on DVD and so on and i mean legal sites with girls over 18 but dressed and made up to look younger. the problem here seems to be context and presentation.
but don?t get me wrong, i don?t want to really argue about the quality of Larry Clark, he?s probably a dirty, old man and his movies have always been exploitative, i loathe Kids. but at least he acknowledges the inherent pedophilia that has been under the surface in his work.
