I don't get it.
do you just take pictures in photoshop, then lower the image quality to like 4bit?
or do you do those, err, manually? like a dot at a time?
they look like EGA/CGA computer graphics, (sort of), makes me want to play my like colleco vision.
err, not that I'm insulting your artwork.

I think you only looked at the thumbnails. Try taking a look at the enlarged images, it´s completely diferent. Anyway, thanks for sharing this with us.

yeah, i've seen some vector graphics in the past but these are pretty good
you can use a photo as a base print, but beyond basic outline its all manual work.
I gotta ask, why Aguiiera??? she's a talentless whore that to be honest, doesn't even look nice... the big nosed trollup! She must have blowjobbed her way in, and the people on the recieving end really had low standards.

I get the picture in photoshop and add the posterize effect, this seperates this colours better. Then you can trace the image using flood filled shapes on multiple layers, which can take forever. When you've finished it looks like some of the painted horror posters you used to get in the 70's.
I chose the Christina picture because I thought it would look good vectored which I think it does.
Thanks for the comments guys

I know these are vector shapes, but they do look like you used the posterize effect and that's it. Did you work on them at all by editing the vector lines or just tracing after posterizing?

Oh well, using the posterize effect as the basis is a problem itself. Basically it's a good idea to bring about 3-5 different versions of the photo to Illustrator and then start tracing. Posterize can be one of them, but you also need the original photo too. I usually bring versions with different color/contrast levels and start working with them. It's tedious, but still rewarding once you get a hang of it. Now your work looks like posterize filtered images from Photoshop, I'm afraid. All of them need a lot of work to look anything cool. I think it's because of the tutorial you're using.
You still have a long way to walk to something like this:
(Not my work. I'm a bit shy at showing that I do for a living.)
Or something like Design Chapel:

Of course, especially Design Chapel is hardcore vectoring, but still, I bet you get the point.

I think all the art is great and inspiring although I'm currently too lazy to try anything - I'd like to try or see someone make some nice movie posters in vectors. What app do you use for the vectors Mr.Flibble?

That's unbelievable. It looks airbrushed or something - I'd never guess that was vector art.
She looks pretty nice too there.

That artist uses gradient mesh technique. They're actually really easy to use, but it takes a lot of time to get them right. Basically you build a grid on the source image and take the colors from the image and simply start assigning colours to the points on the grid.
