In this remake the story follows a group of filmmakers who head out to shoot at an old mansion on an island with a bizarre past.


DETAILS

- Expect many new characters.
- The history of the island will be revealed in this film.
- Shooting begins early 2006, mostly in Vancouver.
- It's said that the film will remain true to the original movie’s spirit, while updating the story with a few interesting twists for today’s audiences.
- The original film told the story of a group of young people in a remote-island graveyard with plans to hold a ritual to wake the dead.
- Aside from horror, the film will also lean towards comedy.
- Budgeted around $12-million.
- Director Bob Clark also wrote the script.
- Produced by Victor Solnicki
- A remake of Bob Clark's 1973 original.


Release date 2008

I think they should remake Deathdream instead. CSPWDT was probably a bore even for its time...

Will Allen the 'acting' troup leader still wield dictator like power over his subordinate actors with the same iron handed style? Will he be able to demand sex from his homely-yet-uppidy female underlings? will that fat guy pee his pants with such frequency? Will there be any non-whites in the film? and most importantly, will there still be checkered/striped pants worn with disturbing tightness?

These are the questions the people of the world need to know.

CSPWDT is a great little film, let's hope the remake doesn't screw up too badly

But a lot of remakes that they are doing are not that good.

Clark says his horror films are being brought back to life 30 years later simply because "there's a trend to remake horror movies and they've done pretty well (at the box office)." Brutal, but honest.
