Got a little problem with my connection. My downstream is almost completely gone and it's gonna take at least 'till Monday before it's fixed. Luckily for you guys I have just enough bandwith to cover the overhead from my (still 512 :wacky:) upstream so I can at least be uploading at (almost) full speed.

Why is it that technical shit like that always happens during the weekend when no one's around to fix it? :(

It's called Sod's Law!

My NTL connection is up and down more than a whores drawers, it's always 3-4 days before someone comes out

So far in the last month i've gone from a pace box to a samsung box and now the brand new samsung box, still having trouble

I'd be interested to know who you switch to Spud as my connection has gone so slow it's unusable at times. It's currently between Zen, Be and Sky for me, I reckon I could cope with the 60GB download cap on Zen, and upload isn't capped. I have read Be users predicting they will go down hill though since O2 took them over. How is the free Usenet server on Zen? I know the retention is only 7 days but what are the completions like?

I'm changing ISPs. If everything goes as planned I should have 6144/640 kbits (~3000/512 now) at a lower price in a couple of weeks . :)

I've changed. I'm having a few teething problems at the moment but hopefully this should be sorted soon.

I really hope the change goes through without fuck-ups. In case I go missing you'll know what happened. :)

Decent, if you get it fast. You get incompletes but can usually cover it with pars.
I'm going to switch to Be and use the difference to buy a subscription to a proper nzb host.

I went from 12Mbit to 6MBit a while back to save some costs.
I had to lose some upload though.
Still thinking of getting another provider for less money and more speed, but reliability also counts.
