Hi,
I just checked whether I could find a better version of 'Demon under Glass' and entered 'demon' and 'glass' in my client's search engine.

I found:

Download_demon_glass_ with_the_fastest_Bittorrent_downloader.exe

Find_demon_glass_using_emule_multimedia_toolbar.zip

and something like that. Exactly my keywords in the given order. Both have the same size.

Looks like there are some specialised evil servers out there. And not only those of the MAFIAA. :-)

I remember seeing a thread about this on FH.

I guess it's the same script as when your on Google and, for example,
you type 'Dead Dogs'. When the results come up in the sponsered ads
you'll see something like 'Buy Dead Dogs on Ebay'

Had this shit floating up with every search I did.

Haven't seen it come back yet, since my last full re-install last month or so.

servers gives those fake results.

I just tried an 'any' search and a 'video' search for demon and glass, all i got were the films on both attempts.

I'm guessing none of you are using the ip filter? If you are i have no clue :wacky:

Hopefully this has been addressed in the new release:

Code:
The new updates includes:

    * First step towards Vista by fixing most glitches and problems Vista had with eMule and by this also support of multi user installations (for all OSs)

    * Support for UPnP

    * A spam filter for search results

    * Several GUI improvements like smiley support for IRC and messages., nicer file tool tips and so on

    * And as always fixing several bugs and adding other small changes

If your still having problems, although with MD fuked guess it's ok now.

Unfortunately for Media Defender, they still didn't know what caused the search string to be pasted into a file which includes other text such as 'fast secure eMule downloads for (insert search string here).rar

Quote:
When a user performs a search and finds the files seemingly bypassing the filters, as well as incorporating the search string into the file name, that user can simply right click on the result and click 'mark as spam'. While reprogramming the client is also an idea (and a better idea in the long term) the idea of flooding the network in this manner has already been defeated.
