Who`s seen Medium recently?

Can you believe that disclaimer before the programme?

"The following programme contains views, opinions and practices of a paranormal nature and is intended for entertainment only"

Jesus FUCKING Christ....what the hell is the world coming to?

What sort of lawsuit are they intending to avoid with that then, the more i think about the more i come to the conclusion that 99% of the people in the world are fucking morons.

A) It`s a pay cable channel after 9pm
B) it`s a show called Medium (what in gods name are we supposed to expect)
C) ......I`m speechless..... (which is a rarity, believe me)

I live on the east coast of the U.S.A. and there is no disclaimer at the beginning. By the way bugs....where are you lucky enough to live?

I can see where BadBugs is coming from as I know that the US has developed a highly litigious culture in the last 10 years or so, as the famed McDonald`s lawsuits prove.

Cases like those would have never gotten to court in the UK at the time but it seems that the more frivolous stuff is getting play here now.

...reminds me of The Simpsons, and the whole "Tickets should not be taken internally" gag.

Dunno really, nowhere in paticular was just an observation really, you know a make sure i wasnt hallucinating sort of thing.

I guess i kinda wanted to provoke outrage/increase my post count/get an idea if anybody knew why some mutt saw fit to tag a program as innocous as Medium with a disclaimer like that epsecially considering that it`s on at night on a subscription cable channel and the name of the show kinda gives away what the subject matter will be.

I can only think of the one McDonald's lawsuit. The one over the hot coffee. It was far from frivolous. The coffee was so hot that it melted her pants to her leg. What were the other ones?

The was something concerning the Apple Pies and the heat warning and several other probably apocryphal stories.

I also remember something related to happy meal toys being sexist but i think that may have been a joke or something.
