My job is taking me overseas for a few months with crap internet access afaik, so I'm certainly going to be off line until the Autumn. :(

I'm just finishing off one more d/load then my mule gets switched off.

Well I made it back in one piece. Got some catching up with real life to do first (most of it involves the missus hehe) - then I'll be back muling to death.

It's great to be back, so let's see how this Virgin upgrade to 20 mbps is gonna cope. :beerchug:

No I didn't know about that. Gits. Is that throttling for everyone on all p2p? I was wondering about ngs - are they affected as well? As I have to sign up with someone again - I was with Newshosting, but binned my account before I left. I'll probably go with them or usenetserver.

ALL traffic is throttled once you download 3gb of data, you're then throttled to 5mb down 364kb up for 4 hours, when the same restrictions are applied until midnight.

If you go over 3gb there is always a 4 hour period of throttling, even if that happens at 11:59 :(

Sucks, but then so do all ISPs

Thanks for the info. Is that 3gb at anytime during the day, or only what's downloaded after 4pm? I'll have to have a fiddle tonight, see the score with this. I used your referral to join usn btw - what does that give YOU btw. I was hitting 14mbps on a d/load earlier - and seems OK so far.
