Heads up people, it`s here...

...just d/l`ed and watched...

The.Simpsons.Movie.DVDSCR.XViD-mVs

..not releasing just giving the info...

...this is a clean-ish screener, there is a small/short/transparent "foxint" logo about half way in for approx 1sec, didnt notice anything else apart from the obviously fake "cigarette burns" in the top right.

..so for all who are interested this is the one to go for.....

I've already seen it at the cinema.

Its just a long tv episode really, not up to S6s standards really. It has Albert Brookes in it though, he was the guy who played Hank Scorpio which is probably the best episode of the simpsons.

there's some funny moments in it, but a lot of forced laughter from the audience imo. I fair enjoyed it though, its not as bad as recent series but its kind of like em.

...it`s not the "end all, be all" of comedy that it promised to be.

I did think that some of the jokes in there seemed a little forced but its kinda worth it to see all the things that they could never show on tv.

There seems to be hardly any of the "background" characters used but i guess they really are gonna go with Maggie`s first word.....

....YOU HAVE to watch all of the credits too, theres stuff in there right upto the end.

...i give it a (lazy) thumbs up that it could have been better.....

...and what the hell happened with the pig....... it kinda drops out of the story..... c`mon resoloution people....

I don't know, its taken them years to write that... i'd like to think there's more of a chance of Futurama. there's the futurama series they are working on atm (i think it airs next year) so hopefully we get a Star Wars beater from those guys :)

I sensed the credits thing and stayed to watch them at the cinema, but i'd argue you don't have to stay to watch them since they really aren't very funny.

/me puts on his geek hat
If you are a real simpsons fan :wacky:, you'll know her first word was "daddy"... voiced by Elizabeth Taylor (follow the link to see her role as Maggie)

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VQ-JSLtuZto"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VQ-JSLtuZto" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

So technically in the simpsons movie its just a rare moment of speech :)

I am fan of the series, but this movie was weak. It was like a long episode and some of it was pretty boring.

Hhhhm, seems I share the same basic opinion a most of you. Shame really.

I can't see that your a fan of the series then, this was exactly the same style of the past 6 series of simpsons, just a bit more funny.

You mean your a fan of vintage (~S2-6) simpsons? That i can see.

Problem is the movie will always just feel like an hour long episode.

And I just downloaded the telesync a few days ago...well this let me see the logo (with Ralph) and the credits.

Maggie also spoke at the very end of the first Tracey Ullman short:

She also speaks with the voice of darth vader in one of the halloween specials  The proper one in the course of a normal episode i'd stick with as the first though :)

I saw it last Friday and enjoyed it pretty much. It's really better than the last 4-6 seasons, with more jokes and more funny references. One guy in the back row of the theater kept on laughing all the time, which made me laugh sometimes when maybe I wouldn't have it'd be silent.

But, this movie is funny enough to watch it a second time (just like Southpark Bigger Longer and Uncut or Beavis and Butthead Do America), which I can't say of the last few seasons of the Simpsons.

Agree 100% on the credits fun: it's not very funny, and you won't miss out on anything.
