Hey kids, have you stabbed the shit out of pumpkins yet this year? Let's see 'em! I made the Michael Myers one and Joe made the Otis one. Happy Halloween! ![]() ![]() |

Here are a few carvings my girlfriend and me have done over the years: ![]() A pumpkin dedicated to my dog, Oberon. ![]() This one is called 'Candelaboo'. ![]() ![]() Boogeyman! Nice work mcdouchealot. Do you use a Dremel at all? I've tried to do some more intricate work with power tools but I always seem to butcher it. |

Nice work! A dremel might be overkill for pumpkin carving... I just got one of those cheesy plastic and metal pumpkin carving kits; they work great. There's one tool very similar to tools that sculptors use for clay that allows you to carve the pumpkin without cutting all the way through for layered light effects... I didn't use it for these pumpkins, but I may in the future. |

Here's mine from last year. First attempt at doing them from a stencil, came out quite good. ![]() ![]() The bottom one is only carved just through the skin, but the light up effect is great in the dark. Any good tips for websites with good templates to download? |

Yeah, I think I am finally going to try a pattern that doesn't go all the way through. I just haven't decided which one to do yet....
Here's a few: http://www.dltk-holidays.com/halloween/mpatterns.htm http://www.carvingpumpkins.com/ http://www.fabulousfoods.com/holidays/h ... plans.html I haven't found a nice comprehensive site yet. Many sites will have a few patterns available for free and then the really nice ones you will have to pay for. If you are in the mood for paying for patterns check out http://www.pumpkinmasters.com/default.asp They have a nice selection of patterns from the beginner level to advanced. |

I almost didn't... my regular gmail account didn't work (I never got the confirmation email). So the next day I went to their chat room and asked what I could do about it, and pretty much, I was screwed without a new invite code. Someone was kind enough to hook me up with another one, and I used a different email account. Good stuff. |
