Hmmm. I don't know. I think I'm working that night. I'm going to a haunted house tonight, probably, and that will be the extent of my Halloween fun. In fact, I don't even think I'll wear a costume. The ones I have/had are either too gruesome or they look like/are fetish gear.

halloween is one of those crappy pseudo-holidays from the states that no1 really gives a shit about... at least not in the uk i've found.

I've not noticed any "halloween spirit" in the uk; tv is lousy and barely invested, parties are coincidental, trick or treaters are very few in number. Its all spill over from american culture.

Guy Fawkes Day is the only real 'celebration' around this time of year, which is only an English thing.

I'll be serving candy, and having fun looking at all the costumes. Hard to get excited about watching horror movies on Halloween when you do it all year long, so maybe a classic of some sort I haven't seen for awhile.

Heheh, LOL @ vermin

Well, I'm not celebrating Halloween either really. It's pretty uncommon in my country to do so, and only commerce really wants me to celebrate it. I never wear costumes on Halloween and I have never seen trick or treaters. I don't even own candy, let alone I can give it away, but watching a classic on Halloween is what other people do when they celebrate Christmas (which I don't).

Yeah that seems to be case... but hey when I was a kid in the 80s (all of em) Halloween was the shit!! I was allowed to come to school with corpse paint and fake meat cleavers and I get to annoy people at home so they give me a treat or else I play a trick! Sweet deal. But its Americanized commercial status is a crude misconception of the old Puritan meets Paegan superstition. So in MA, where I live now, the older traditions come out a little more. At Salem this year, 2 hundred thousand people came to the 'gathering'.

And hey, the TV actually plays some decent films that time of year too!
