Up until a few years ago I used "Gandalf" as my nick

this dated back to my first reading the book in the seventies - (I've seen the "how old are you" theme and I'm staying away from that)

Gandalf was my CB handle in the good old days of illegal CB's

and in those days one out of a hundred knew where it originated from

I also used it to join a couple of boards - I am very choosey about boards I belong to - This one is great IMHO

I learned how to crack paysites from a certain board as Gandalf but I am sorry to say everybody and his dog now wants to be me !errr sorry wants to be Gandalf. :matrix:

I just wondered if any of you had other nicks at any time and what they were

Maybe PrayeR used to be a choirboy
or spudthedestroyer was a just a chip
Was John Doe actually someone - anyone
Was satan once an Angel or monkeysmasher once a peanut eater!

Just a thought and it is a joke !!

I have used many nicks in my many years online, er, DreadLordApophis was one I joined this board with, I have also used WarLord, Urban_Warlord, morpheus, Spyke, Spike, and a few more I cant quite remember from my real early days.

the one I have now has lasted me the longest, plus it was also a name I used around 6 years ago too, but not for very long tho as I got in a bit of trouble LOL :matrix:

used some other nicks but on russian scene only, so u anyway dunno.

heh in the good old days of illegal CB radio my handle was "sweet-tooth".....i was young then and like all other kids ate too many sweets :wink:

my Bassline "nick" came about through that being me DJ name since about '91 playing local raves etc and then i started to play for an online radio station and everyone in that community used to call me "Bassy" for short,but i've since stopped DJ'ing but have kept the nick since i't s part of me now and would be sad to lose it after all those good memories

@Craftee, as far as trouble goes, try this on for size matey, I had to dump that nick for the following reason:

I got in a huge flame war with some sucker on a long dead forum board type thingy, it turned out he was someone I actually knew and he found out who I was, cut a long story short it ended up with ppl getting hurt and the like, he lost eventually and moved away but asked his mates, who previously beat me a few times, to kick me in again if I ever slagged him off, so I changed my nick and carried on LOL

There was a few other minor reasons, but they are not-important. :matrix:
