A Kodak spokesman who helped devise the original Cap Code says this is not the work of his company but theorizes that it may be intended to be more visible on the murky compressed copies that get posted to the Internet where the original, very subtle Cap Code may be difficult to discern."

i came with the board, kind of as a feature. my post would be around 3000, but i deleted quite a few. in one button clicking accident, i got rid of 267 of my posts from the 'monkey's cap-crap-a-thon riptastic avi encoding jubilee 2002'. add in all my alternative screennames that i forgot the passwords too, and it would be about fourteen thousand posts. i dont use the internet much, this is about the only site i visit that hasnt banned me for life. yet.

ive also seen where the dvd-screener are getting tracking codes put in, to see who originated the rip. what's worse, is these tracking 'features' are going to be standard even mandatory, in EVERY dvd produced thanks to the 'video flag' laws in usa. now the cocksucker's can trace the dvd to the store it was sold at, or the video store it was rented from. i really hope some smart dude figures out how to disable these things.
ive also read laws have been changed in the usa to change capturing movies at the theatre, previously a misdemeanor, into a felony crime with mandatory jailtime and an insanely high fines.
