same as I posted on CG's forum (in case you're a regular there):

Not that anyone here knew it'd be up someday, but it's something I've been "working" on (as in I'm not actually working so I worked on that) for a while... a collection of exploding heads... take a look, hope you guys enjoy and leave a comment there if you feel like, I have self esteem problems so I'm seeking attention with a cheezy gory video :(

yep, certainly the shotgun is the preferred method... I too didn't count, but talking about counting , I could come up with lots of statistics from that video... actually some pretty interesting ones (I mean, interesting to a certain extent, we're talking a compilation of exploding heads in movies), but I gave up and just listed the movies.

One thing I can do is crown the king of cinematic head explosions: Olaf Ittenbach. Not only 90% of his movies feature a classic head explosion or at least a crushed head of some sort, but some feature multiple moments of head bashing. That leads to the ultimate exploding heads movie, which is ittenbach's Premutos, I didn't count but there's one single scene where a guy blows 5 or 6 heads in a row, one by one with a shotgun (featured in the video).
