Switching between connection settings will boost your download speeds like crazy! (This applys to SHADOW'S EXPERIMENTAL) For example: I am switching bettween the settings for "dialup/isdn" to "dsl/cable fast", and my download speeds have gone from 20kb/s to almost 200kb/s. You will notice that the speed will peak out and begin to drop, just change the settings again and you will see it climb! Try it, it might work for you ![]() Post here your results. |

firstly, its not an exploit. It's you capping your upload and thusly your upstream doesn't affect your downstream. That accounts for a tiny speed increase, yet your overall session credits remain unaffected. Secondly, just like emule, the bandwidth reported is inaccurate. Use a network connection monitoring tool to see accurate results. Thirdly, what's the point in trying to leech, its people with that attitude that ruin p2p programs ![]() |

Well, damnit! I know that it's not an "exploit", although I called it so in the thread, and I know exactly how it works (which was how I found it in the first place [I do a lot of socket programming in C##]) As far as the leeching thing goes, you're right, I shouldn't be advocating that. At the moment, I have about 10 gigs of stuff shared. |
