OK, it's about books, but could equally be applied to music / films etc. It's refreshing to read something by a publisher / author who can see beyond the immediate "loss of sales" and actually embraces online piracy!

everything is being patented,copyrighted, and enforced to such a finite point that it goes beyond lunacy, loosing any realistic application to reality. well, at least to any reality i would want to be a part of. the dawn of pay per use is here, everything recorded, archived and billed to you in easy monthly installments. yippee, now with the rfid chips, people can finally become nothing but walking bank accounts. Hopefully we good citizens can start paying royalties for phrases that may be copyrighted that we say outloud. that'd be swell!(trademarked monkeyconglogermatedhypomega mart)

i keep reading about educational institutions becoming more and more whores of the anti-p2p conglomeration, with 'no piracy' classes. I'd say something like 'and next there will be comercials/advertisements in textbooks', but i kind of thing there already are.

There are some arseholes that say it's like theft, but you can argue them down in 1 second flat. Damn christians Network admins and such have to enforce anti-piracy though, but that's for obvious reasons (-??? if not)
