... Anyone had hassle from their ISP with regards to their emule "activities"?

Just had a letter from BTO stating that "it has been brought to their attention...blah blah blah....distribution of copyrighted material..blah blah blah...."

Anyone else had a similar letter from any UK ISP?
I'm fairly certain that its a standard letter that they chuck out when one of its users gets reported, but I'd like to see if anyone else has dealt with a similar situation before I start shopping around for a new ISP.

BTW... Lo folks.. first post an that :)

I am with TeleWest BlueYonder, I have had a few letters asking me to check that I have no trojans etc as my upstream usage is high, but nothing telling me shit like that. I have heard of ppl on BT getting cut off for over use, but I do not personally know anyone this has happened with. I also know NTL have a download cap, 1 gig a day or something, but apparently they do not enforce this much. BlueYonder have absolutely no limits at the moment, and they even went so far as rewriting their terms and conditions cos the initial rewrite effecetively banned all P2P, and they listened to their customers and rewrote the T&C's to allow P2P.

When you get letters like this the best advice I have been offered is to stop sharing the file for good, and also deny everything.

Well I've "deleted" the offending file from my shared folder as per their request, but I guess my uploads from uncompleted files will still show what I'm downloading. :(

Shame really as A box of blank DVD-Rs arrived today :(

Nah it wasn't Friday the 13th.. it was Dead or Alive
Just wondering if MPAA goons were patrolling "teh interweb" as somebody kept trying to request my shared files folder several times in one evening whilst changing nicks (same username hash :P)

The easiest way to slim ya chances of getting caught is a decent blocklist on ya firewall. No-one can be 100% safe, but any protection is better than none.

after some consideration (and left-over-from-xmas booze) I've decided that it's business as usual.

Plenty of ISPs would be grateful of my hard-earned cash if things turn ugly.
