Post subject:  How about releasing a movie where I cut all the crap out ?
Take my latest offer Rats (1984) for example - It is indeed not the greatest movie....
But It has so many cheesy moments,and that ending -it's a gem !

So I had this crazy idea - of cutting all the crap out , like irrelevant character devellopment , lenghty explanaition scenes blabla etc....

And edit it such a way that the main arc of the story stays in ,most of the death scenes et all...resulting in a , say, approx 275 mb 35 min Rollercoaster....

That way you'll "have seen the movie" (well, if anyone in a pub interrogates you avout it, you'll know the anwsers :wink: ) , saved bandwidth, and seemingly most important to some of you....viewing time :twisted:

Now I already know the collectors among you don't like this idea,but what about the rest ?

this is a good thing people are interested in?

i can understand cutting jar jar out of a movie, but usually people interpret movies different ways, what may seem extra stuff to one person is a major point to someone else.

There's a brief pussy scene in it :twisted:

And then there's the scene where a woman is stuck in one of these , um ,what's the english word, " sleepbags" and gets attacked by a rat who eats/nibbles down her you know what...getting an orgasm as she dies.....that OFCOURSE would stay in :twisted:
But there's this ongoing backstory of the 2nd in command stirring up the group against the leader ..
al throughout the movie....BAH!.....and some scenes you honestly wouldn't miss.....

Seriously guys - done correctly it MIGHT work ....

I used to do this....back in my every three day drop acid phase(from about age 15 to 25)I used to take all the gore movies I had and make my own little videos out of them with with all the good gore scenes and set to death metal and black metal,trying to come across as close to the lyrics as possible.We called it trip tape because that was it's exact purpose,drop acid and get fucked up watching repetative scenes of gore.The more violent the more we liked it...Got like 12 VhS tapes like this all including some of the best metal out at the time..I may rip them one of these days but with the use of digital means now I can splice on a dime and have it come out profesionally.So by all means this is not a new idea at all.You would be suprised on what it does for a shit movie that just has a couple of scenes that are worthwhile :beerchug:
For those who think this idea is a bit weird...well....it probably was but I have sent more people screaming out of my house after losing it than I can shake a machete at. :mrgreen:

@monkey - nope that nos dude is someone else , he's been in my queues a few times, and I do believe I saw that guy over at that shithole that is the sharereactor politics section......BAH :evil: I hate political fanatics - any kind any creed...

And yes Basically I am gonna chop a 90 min movie down to 35 mins or so....Leaving only the critical info,the gore , the laughably bad moments, the nude ,the sex and the twist ending you just gotta see in ....

The funny thing about Rats.. is that when the socalled rats attack.. it looks like it's the director or cameraman throwing cute litte hamsters at the actors.. and from the sides.. like they come flying against them out of nowhere.
Would be funny to see those scenes in fast-mode with some typical 1920'ies silent-movie comedymusic in the background :)

Hey, the perfect candidate for this is H. G. Lewis. Take all the useless padding out and his movies would be pretty wicked shorts. You can leave in all the dialogue and all the gore and just cut out the endless scenes of people walking to their cars, walking to a front door, etc. and get a good 60 Min. movie.
