just got a letter from my ISP. they're gonna upgrade my connection from 1mbit/320 -> 2mbit/640 for free. how cool's that? and i only pay ~35 euros/month :D

so expect a lot of sharing from me :)

At the end of the month:
2mbit/256 -> ?45.99/month

BT needs to be erradicated to solve the connection problems in the uk. They are counterproductive and are the reason why upload bandwidth is so tight on ADSL. It really doesn't need to be capped at 256, there's plenty available.

I'm paying... between 700-800 NKR for a 1024/256kbit connection. that would equal 70? ... (yea.. welcome to norway!)

Getting a 3mbit connection next week (HOPEFULLY!) for the same price.

And that 10mbit ISP i usually release the GrimRippers stuff over.. that only cost around 40? amonth, but i live a few KM's out of reach to get it myself. :matrix: :matrix: :eatthis: :argue: :moon:

ummm if ur talking exchange rates according to http://www.xe.com 1 GBP = 2.37500 AUD

The isp's here claim that because we're so far from everyone else the data costs too much to give us true unlimited. So they do all sorts of dodgy stuff like shaping non standard ports, capping you once u go over a limit ie after i go over 8gb i get speed cut to that of 56k dialup.
