Shown was this guy that had this giant frozen foods storage in wich it was actually warmer than outside ! :lol:

Well, in the Arctic north of Canada, its about 15 Centigrade today. Speaking of cold, the coldest day of the year was the day I did my night shoots on Briar Rows. D'oh.

Military service? Wasn't *that* cold when i did it 12 years ago, but the smell of feet was worse than the cold imho :-)

sweden has mandatory service i;ve heard. does sweden ever invade other countries or anything?

It's more like if you don't want to do it, you are forced to, and if you want to do it, you cant :-)
I even tried to get a low iq-score on purpose, but -2 was enough to qualify for military service afterall :-)

Conscription was ended ages ago in the UK, why conscipt when not at war? I can see why the US does it (cos of their bloated runaway military budget), China and Sweden (some one has to make Army Knives right? :) ). I don't see a need for a country like Britain to conscript anymore though.

If world war III breaks out maybe.

eh, conscripted as in forced/drafted? not in the usa since the 70's.
hehe, though i volunteered as a rifleman, and then re-upped after my first 4 years, making it a rounded 8-ish years. yep, i got problems, but man, can i iron.

its the swiss who make the cool army knives, i think. corkscrews, scissors, 2 kinds of screwdrivers, magnifying glass, maybe an inflatable raft and a thesaurus, all in one knife. they are just laying low, waiting till they attack holland and assimilate the windmill technology. swiss windmills will have special attachments, 3 speeds, and that 'swing' setting so they rotate.
