EDIT : never mind - found the thread were things went boom.....

A lesson or two to be learned though ;
1 do not piss off a ripper, even if the quality IS crap (Cough*deinterlacing* cough)
2 Don't be trightarsed about qualifications - A ton of rips in the dvd sections are good vhs masters put on dvd-r

Nothing rude in that. You did the right thing. I think everyone was very polite to him. That guy just over-reacted way too much... and no matter how many times explained, didn't understand that HBTM "DVD" was just VHS-print copied to DVDR.
