Maybe old news to some, but it looks like the online mule search engine jigle has closed its doors after the demise of sharereactor.

http://www.jigle.com

On the plus side though, it does give an address to send donations for Simon Moon's legal fees. :o

That guy's got some neck.

Was taken down because the owner was scared (it is on the same server cluster methinks).

Simon has apparantly said there's no need to take it down, but i guess the owner was too scared.

Either way its a shame, jigle would be very, very, very hard to take down, because all it is is a search engine, its like google. Google may have warez sites in its database, but this is hardly googles fault or anything.

IMO, another total overreaction to SR going down. Its a shame really, because jigle was really good for spread checks and searching when away from donkey.

There is another donkey search engine but its really crap.... i will not utter its name.....

you might be surprised how lucky you can get from time to time just using Google to look for ed2k links.

example: Underworld SVCD ed2k... first site (albiet german) has several ed2k links. Even if the site dies, you can still use the google cache of it to pull the ed2k link, or sometimes it's visible right from google's results page.

It's hit or miss, but google does have such an enormous index that a lot of times it works. :wacky:

Unfortunately it would be lost a month or two later when google respiders the site.

Global never gave the results Jigle did,I am hoping there will be another come up besides the crap one that spud was referring to..that one does indeed suck and might as well use global at that point...seems I saw a search engine link somewhere while surfing but can't remember where it is or even if it's worth a shit...my search goes on..litteraly. :beerchug:

JIGLE did rock!

That's the one I didn;t want to even mention...I can never find shit on that..and when I do the links are usually dead.
The one plus thing about overnet was the abilty to search and have it keep searching..I try that on mule and it goes for about 2 seconds and stops.SK is like that too but that is a different animal altogether.

Hopefully somebody will contact that melange blokey and request taking the JIGLE code and putting it on a different server under different name etc etc till things get sorted.

Coz it is just a search engine and pretty harmless!!!

Thats the retard one I didn't want posting. It's completely shit... it hardly returns any results (even less than a global search) and all it does is completely remove all filetags and replace them with its own, making the whole process even worse.

Link removed. If people want it, google for an edonkey search engine. I recommend you dont though.

Does it begin with an 'F' and ends with an 'y'? In that case you are right and I won't repeat the name here. :-)

Razorback history does the same job as hash history, the rest is kind of handled by:
http://www.jugle.net/
But thats' really slow because i assume it needs a server upgrade.

Emule search native is the best alternative.

There's another but i will not have its name uttered, given that it erases all filetags (ripper, source, site, filenames, years, etc.) and then adds its own name in replacement.

I'm thinking of adding a rule:
edonkey2000, and IE are not supported on this site.

jugle works fine, check your connection and particularly your firewall.
