yeah, can't hardly wait.
My list of awesome party-places I have to visit around the world is slowly getting shorter.
I still got:
Carneval in Rio
Mardi Grass
Tomatia (or whatever that big tomato fight in Spain is called)
Pamplona for the Running of the Bulls

after that it doesn't matter much more where I go... I just wanna exeprience alot before I say my final good-byes!

for carnival in rio you better put on a bulletproof-vest and stay away from the hookers, you know, not everything is what it seems.

sure sure. I saw City of God too... =)

I've been to a couple of skanky and dangerous places every now and then. Most of the time it's just a matter of being a normal nice guy and people will answer in the same fashion. Of course there are incidents of random violence occuring all over but these are marginal compared to friendly bar brawls gone avry, family violence, rapes and killings. Statistics clearly show that there's a much bigger chance of getting killed by someone you know than by a stranger.

I'm not living in a fantasy world imagining that no harm will ever come to me</i>, but still I don't think it's healthy going around constantly being freightened of everything that could possibly happen. I know many people die each Full Moon Party as well. One person told me 19 had died when she was there. She was terrified of something happening and kept sober all the time to stay 'in control'. Of cource she didn't enjoy it very much.

If you've ever taken any heavy halucinogetic drugs you will know what I'm talking aboot, because if you start to give in to fear in the begining as you're loosing control you will have a horrible experience indeed. The trick to having a good trip is to let go of all control and just go wherever it takes you.

My philosophy is that I refuse to let fear destroy the possibility of having a good time and sincereley believe that good things will come to me if I aproach them with a positive attitude. It's the only way I manage to live.

You're absolutely right John. It's no use always beeing afraid of what COULD happend, because whatever is going to happend is going to happend is going to happend whatever you like it or not.
I think that things like checking that you have your wallet, locked the door, and stuff like that is a smart thing to always be sure of when it comes to personal safety, but you cant do anything to make sure that somebody doesn't attack you, or a meteor falls down your head.

I perform martial arts (yes, I know the ancient secrets of karate :P), which also helps one to not worry about beeing attacked, and it also strenghtens your selfesteem generally.

So yeah, I agree pretty much with you. And I know what you mean, when talking about hallucinogens :beerchug:

yes i understand what you say about not giving in to fear, i know people who now refuse to leave the country by boat/plane/train for fear some terrorists will blow them to kingdom come, its quite the miracle they even manage to leave the house of a day, but the way i see it when your times up its up, you may aswell enjoy what ya got and have fun, hell u could drop down dead of a brain haemorrage tomorrow.
