My windows won't boot, so guess another 2 weeks before I can afford a new HD to back shit up...=(

have a nice life./may give up the pc shit for this?

My problems are at this forum:I'm getting the error on bootup that:
Windows XP could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM

I tried the following for system recovery, but it says that the file doesn't exist.

fix = a way of fixing it ;)

If you are getting a corruption message at startup the only way of sorting out the problem is to format. You can get access to the data by plugging it into another windows machine though.

as I said, delete all releases posted from me i the last week.

I don't have them anymore.=(

Going to get another HD tomarrow, but will not run emule on it.

Satan, did you try to install winxp on top of the old one? That usually works and repairs damaged system files etc. If the registry isn't damaged, all your installed apps should work without reinstalling them.

Didn't work.

Had to get a HD from a buddy, and was able to salvage most of my completed downloads, but all the tmp files and the WHOLE emule folder was gone.=(
