plush toys are very popular, the toy company that made this facehugger only makes them like that, why their isn't a model replica of it is anyones guess... I'd certainly buy a few and put them around the place.
hell there's plush toys of Lovecraft's Call of Cthulhu:
http://www.toyvault.com/cthulhu/plush_cthulhu.html
I have found those facehuggers for ?19.99, most places sell them at ?24.99, but Forbidden Planet sell them cheaper. They also have an Alien vs. Predator promo, which is an alien egg with a facehugger (not as detailed, more of a soft toy) inside (for ?12.99)
It never ceases to amaze me the films they choose to make kids toys from
Forbidden Planet also have that Alien Queen vs host model for ?59.99.
I believe they have stores in Leeds, Liverpool and Nottingham for definite, I'd imagine they'll have them in most of the big cities too. But for those that can't be arsed, they also have a decent website:

lol, also I got myself some boxed and unboxed aliens figures from that f*cked up range with all the weirdness (posted earlier). Firstly there's one I had but forgot to mention, it looks like an ordinary alien (but it explodes ). couldn't find any photos of that
I've acquired a boxed and unboxed version of one of the two sensible toys in the range, the alien queen, that actually looks like an alien queen:
Next I have ripley boxed:
which amazingly isn't modelled on Sigourney Weaver, there's some trading card and gunk with it,. I also got another boxed Bishop.
Now onto the realm of the seriously fucked up mutant alien shit I showed with that flying freak queen. First we have a human (that surprising has a ginger wolverine type head stuck on him that's dressed like an alien)
Now we have an Alien weirdo, the Queen Facehugger:
All of them were irresitably dirt cheap, and well cos they were boxed I bought them
I am looking for a playset I remember actually advertised on TV. Basically it was by Kenner and there it had a Queen alien figure, and the large egg laying compartment. You poured crap down the back and it layed eggs
If you buy your kids that, they were going to end up weird Also keeping an eye out for more of the exotic alien figures, such as the King Alien, Arachnid Alien, Wild Boar Alien (!!), Night Cougar, Killer Crab, Panther, Bull, Rhino, Snake, gorilla and a boxed Scorpian alien. They don't sell for much so that makes it bargain bucket searching, but these things are seriously weird freaks And for aliens that makes them uber freaks

I guess that should have been "all the big cities and Croydon"
Mail order is just as decent as in store, delivery is extremely cheap.

?19.99 in blighty, http://www.forbiddenplanetstore.com
Sound investment imo. It looks so cool, in the dark it looks ace, sinces its legs are posable metal and it looks like they do in the films, just put it in a pose somewhere, and you'll get people staring as they walk past!

coolness... a lifesize one?
I only got some small ones, the Bride twin set, and a child's play 3 one.
I'd like to state my approval of those facehuggers... they are just so damn cool!
