Downloaded a HQ MPEG2 DVD burnable copy of NoTLD (Nigtht of The Living Dead) since it's been in the public domain for so long? In case you're wondering you can get a 4GB MPEG2 (there are also 600MB, 200MB, and smaller flavors) version here - http://www.archive.org/movies/download- ... iving_dead However the only way to get the 4GB version is to use a FTP app (I use Cute FTP) and go to their FTP server. The HTTP link is dead for the big one - all others work though. I kinda figure everyone here has this, but I was curious to see if anyone didn't. This news is so old it should be mumified. |

Thanks for the tip, but I must be doing something wrong with Smart FTP, all the recent additions to favourites cannot connect. I get "Socket connected waiting for login sequence. Cannot login waiting to retry (30s)..." ![]() |

Here's how I did it in Cute FTP Hit connect and type in the server Server: movies06.archive.org When prompted for a user and password, just use anonymous for your user id and your e-mail for the password (that's if it asks) Once connected browse through the folders to the propper directory - 2/movies/night_of_the_living_dead Select the file you want to D/L as there are 4 or 5 of different quality depending on what size you're willing to D/L If SmartFTP isn't working try CuteFTP, the demo is full use and it worked for me. Server: Server: movies06.archive.org Username: anonymous Directory: /2/movies/night_of_the_living_dead Password: you can leave this blank or use your email address |
