I always wanted to know when Europeans celebrate Thanksgiving. Is Canada the only one that celebrates it today? Or do you guys celebrate it the same time the U.S does in November?

Bah, everybody (should) know it was the Norwegian Vikings who originally discovered America, 600 years (or something) before Chris.

Originally? Don't think so. As far as I know there were already people in America when the Vikings arrived. :-P

tweye, it was meant sarcasticly. hehe

They had alot in common though:

Vikings ate magic mushrooms

Native Americans licked the back of poisonous toads.

They probably sat around smoking peace bongs and had damn cool parties together. :beerchug:

It seems to be consensus that the vikings used psilocybe Semilanceata, but I've never heard of any proofs, it's just guessing AFAIK.

...until someone tried to lick the mushroom and eat the toad and opened a new dimension in space-time from which the Great Ancients came out (or that's when the bad trip started)...

I love being American but I am at times scared of the changes in America and how the right wing is taking control of it... We got a president that talks to god and gets answers from him :-o I think the anti-chirst is BUSH :matrix: :-o
If he wins this comming election I may move to Canada!

Bring your parka Grindhouse, because it's starting to get cold here.

Not AFAIK. I've read it many times in rather serious school books and such. They used to eat the poisonous ones that we call "Fly-mushrooms" (white stalk, a red hat, with lots of white dots on it). They did this before they would attack a villiage or something, because it would make them absolutley berserker crazy, and scare the shit out of everyone.

Really, how cold does it get in the farthest south of Canada? I'm looking into moving to Vancover. Is it colder than Norway? Right now I have 10C here. At the very coldest it can get -20C but that's seldom.
