If so then you are in for a treat, TW are once again this year increasing speeds for no extra cost, 75k is going upto 1meg, 1.5meg is increasing to 2meg and bet of all 3meg is increasing to 4meg.

Another bonus, especially for me is that for the 4meg customers also comes a small increase in upload to 386k, a 128k increase.

So your bitching and hassling for more upload worked then Tak :D

So whats the cost of this fancy 4000k/380k connection then?

Good news for STR that extra upload too

Does this answer your question?

Seriously tho, even at 42K upload, to allow my browsing to still function with no loss of speed, I can now share a movie, in theory, in under 5 hours as oppsoed to just over 7 hours.

PLease accept my apologies if my figures are a little bit off, I rounded the number of hours up/down and did it in my head.

I was asking how much the connection is, like mines a 2MB connection for ?30, just wondering how much more TW's would be for double the bandwidth.

Sorry you thought i was asking how much more, I meant how much does it cost in general

Damn, musta smoked more than I thought LOL

50quid a month is what I pay. I do not mind tho as it is prolly the only decent service in this country that is also uncapped.

?50 isn'y much really when 2Mb can cost ?30-?40, but over the year that ?50 a month price kinda dents the wallet a bit!

Surly the prices will drop or will we (in the UK) be paying like ?100 a month for 10MB powerlines?
I hope not :(

This year TW have not dropped prices, but they have twice now increased the speeds instead.

At the start of the year I had 2meg for 50 quid a month, that will be 4meg soon, and the old 1.5meg service will be upped to 2 meg, so I could drop back to that and save cash, but I want the increased upload so I will stay where I am.

Also, NThells new packages are all gonna be capped, and I got a bad feeling that nearer the merger, if it happens, they will begin to enforce them.

Like I said in another thread somewhere, I believe NTL and TW are beginning to sync up there services for a dual package type thing, with NTL's old services being general use and TW's old services as premium/heavy usage. Time will tell.
