Why is Extratitles under 'English'? You cand find subs in every language there. As a matter of fact, it's the best subs site imo.

btw, better use this url:

http://www.extratitles.to

edit: oops, I didn't notice there was a second page to this thread.

Basic Guide:

If compressed, unzip in the same folder as the movie file.
Check that the name of the titles is the same as the name of the avi.
examples:
Movie.Name.Year.Source.Codec-Group.avi
Movie.Name.Year.Source.Codec-Group.srt

Movie.Name.Year.Source.Codec-Group.avi
Movie.Name.Year.Source.Codec-Group.idx
Movie.Name.Year.Source.Codec-Group.sub

If they are in the same folder and the names match most players will play subs automatically when you click the avi, easy huh? :)
or look for a open subs feature in your player's toolbar buttons at the top or in the right click and pick the subtitle file. VideoLAN/VLC player, ctrl+f, load avi file, tick subtitles box, load subtitle file.

if your player doesn't play subs, look here for VobSub or DivXG400

Just a note since this is the firt time i noticed this, on pc and any decent standalone (read xbox), you don't need to unzip the .rar if you have a .idx.

So you cna have:
Movie.Name.Year.Source.Codec-Group.avi
Movie.Name.Year.Source.Codec-Group.idx
Movie.Name.Year.Source.Codec-Group.rar

And it will play as if the .rar is unzipped. This saves a lot of space that very often takes rips over the burn limit since .sub images are usually pretty big (several mb).

Common knowledge to most i suspect, but thought i'd mention it because for lots its unnessacary to unrar vobsubs :)

Nice collection, but this part is quite messed up:

(german subtitles in general and english subtitles for german movies)

Dutch is the language of the Netherlands / Holland, and their flag has the colours blue, red and white.

Black, red and gold is the German flag, and the language of Germany is ... well ... German.

subtitles.de is a German subtitle site. The other two are Dutch.

Eeehm, hagbard? I think the author of that post used the Belgian flag (which is also red, yellow and black, but placed vertically).

I agree with you that the Dutch flag could be present as well, but it's of minor importance in my opinion (before you start to think weird things: I'm Dutch myself :D ).
