Post subject:  So wich server do you DE-recommend ?

For some time I suspected "BigPipe " from not connecting to all(read: most) other servers.....and then it's slooooowwww speed...

This morning I was rerouted to it again and as too often things went slow on finding sources...So I put it to the test and logged( after being rerouted several times) on a other.....

My suspicions were correct ; the sources came down on me like a avalanche.......

I have therefor , during a sadistic ROAR , deleted the P.O.S from my serverlist !

i think it has a lot to do with were in the world your at, isp, ect. if your looking for the servers that are just fake ones, sneaky p2p troublemakers, go to peerguardians list of ip# to block.
a few of the bigger servers dont really work for me. silent bob, most of those ProbenPrinz, big pipe, i dont bother with anymore, though they continue to get into my server list.
some sites are like magnets to my client, and i just cant get away. i have to use the 'connect to static servers only' to avoid them.

and occasionally, if im trying to get a very popular file quikly, i find just floating serverless sometimes makes it download a lot faster.

it does not matter
from server u only get list of IP's.
after that u can disconect and download without any speed lost.

Could it be that a server gives you a fake ip list with tar pit ips? You connect to them and they hold the connection open as long as possible? After I shutdown my donkey I sometimes check my connections with netstat. Usually all open connection to port 4662 are closed quickly, but there are always some connections, which remain up to 10 minutes.
