Crap another great guitarist down..... :(

At least he didn't waste away like Chuck Schuldiner (from the band Death, cancer finally got him).

Sad news... :(
I really liked Pantera in my younger years. Listened a lot those albums back then.. Cowboys From Hell and Vulgar Display Of Power are still killer classic albums.

Rest in peace Dime

I heard the news last night on the dutch news, at first I did not really knew the band, but after reading some on the i-net I realized who was shot.

RIP Dime and give'em hell on the other side!

Did anybody ever find out why the gunman killed him? From the news report it sounds like he had it planned out for awhile.

From the newspaper report I was reading today it said something about him beeing upset over Pantera breaking up.Whether this is actually true or just specualtion is hard to say.Kind of aimed the gun at the wrong guy if he was looking for the reason that group split

On pantera.com its satan's motfi that was posted. It was a news bit that said he was upset over the band breaking up, but also he claimed some of pantera's lyrics were his.

He was a marine. That was a shock... When is it not a marine?

I am sure there will be plenty of metalheads and guitar players from around the world to line up to take a piss on that soldiers grave.

what was the deal with the guy who shot Lennon, was it he thought he was lennon or that lennon stole his songs?

There's a simple answer people it would seem, don't live in the states. :o Its weird that they are so against gun control, I never got what the motive for it is.

Heh,Live here and then find out about the hypocrisy of the gun control laws. You think a gang banger goes out and buys his gun at a store?Hell no...you can pick up alot of weapons illegally here and that is why gun control is full of shit. It's the matter of the right to bear arms balanced with the criminally insane.I used to pack a gun with me for years until I realised that I was far to tempted to use it..and that was not a registered weapon.
Besides, there are far more entertaining and innovative ways on killing someone than shooting them.Any bloody fool can pull a trigger...it takes practice and cunning to rampage through the streets massacreing people with a spork.
