Oh, I don't think this is necessary. Most here understand perfectly well what I mean. |

Well la-di-da ![]() Most of the population are actually able to notice that subtle little [R] infront of the links on nova that means: "this will lead you to a tracker that needs 10seconds of your time for registration". |

Yes well that's funny considering I once witnessed a 2 page thread here accusing me of retagging files by various members of this community , until it was proven without doubt that the accusations were false. So if you are making an accusation then i would like it spelt out please for my own benefit.. And it's nice to see the p2p community pulling together in this crisis... deny it all you like but moderators and admins getting arrested on torrent and E2DK sites on European soil is a crisis whether you chose to live in denial or not. Nothing like sticking the knife in when we are down is there Wargand. |

Unfortunately not all registered trackers are marked with [R]. Cannot say whether one (of the few) I encountered was a CM tracker. Then I don't like the [R] it draws automatically my attention to those files I cannot get. Last but not least CM is so paranoid to remove all tracker and links now, but requires registration? Why do I want to spread my email address together with a history of my IPs all over the net? It is enough when Spud has my email address. Who knows what happens when his database gets confiscated ![]() |

Funny thing is that downloading from public trackers is actually the most dangerous thing you can do.. your IP is totally exposed as there is no real anonymity in Bittorrent.. everyone can see you. Same with Emule. With private trackers you have atleast some "safety" since only the ones registered in that community can see your IP.. and if there's certain safety-precations on that site then the chance of law-enforcement agencies seeing your IP downloading stuff will decrease dramatically. Impossible to be 100% safe anywhere tho.. |

Why not register a gmail and then setup web forwarding or something to that degree, if your worried? Just make sure the webmail isn't dead, because you don't get emails, so if you change your account details, the email will bounce and account = deactivated. Since gmail offer, pop and addressforwarding now its a decent choice. That way if you thing the boogeyman's after you. Just login to gmail and cancel the forwards. Don't know what anyone would really do with an email address though. I'd never use a email I use predominantly for registration at any site, to prevent spam more than anything. |
