Post subject:  Is NTL throttling my connection?

Is anyone on NTL getting the d/l speeds that they used to get.

I've only got the 300k connection but my d/l wont go above about 20KB.

For instance i'm d/l a lot of popular files as well as some from here and it won't go above 20KB.

I'm d/l spider labyrinth off avatar, when i pause one of the popular files my d/l rate off avatar increases so i get 20KB again:?

All seems very strange to me.

My ports are TCP 6565 and UDP 4672.
What ports are you guys using and how are your d/l speeds?

I change ports everytime I reboot.

So every 3-5 days.

Only 100 people in my queue, and at 25k downloads.

I am glad I downoad.

Hhhm, I basically had the same issues, albeit a year back, I just kept changing ports until I found a couple that worked.

It's ok now.
It seems my son, who plays online games, had set the max upload to 8KB so it would still run while he played. I've just put it up to 12KB again and it's at a pretty constant 28-30 KB.

Although what i don't understand, with an 8KB u/l you can still set the d/l to 32KB :wacky:

Funnily enough, my mule is playing up now :(

My connections never seem to go above ~80 which is playing havoc with emule, which now seems unable to get above 80Kbps :(
