Agents that download the site on mass and cripple it in the process. If you have a program that has the ability to download entire sites... please for the love of god don't use it here. It will cripple the site. They aren't meant for php.
Repeated abusive concurrent connections from the same ip, using GET commands. Had loads of emails from nuke sentinal informing me of such actions. If you don't know what either are, then chances are your normal and aren't doing any harm ![]() |

Ok, wget and the like. Would not think of using them here since it doesn't make sense with this forum. But you could harvest all ed2k links here from time to time and make them available as zip file on edonkey. Getting all the links is probably the main reason to do try to download the whole site.
Ok, thought you meant repeated reloading of certain pages, e.g. the newposts page, either manually or using the firefox autoreload function. Probably not nice either to set firefox to dl pages every second. |
