Hitchikers guide to the Galaxy, which I was orignally VERY wary of as I am a HUGE fan of the books/radio/game etc. looks like it's going to be one of the highlights of 2005 for me.

Also Constantine is looking pretty good, again despite initial reservations.

What films are you lot looking forward to this year?

Untitled Spike Jonze/Charlie Kaufman Project (2005)

There's still not much to tell about this project, but when these two work together you can count on it that it'll be something good.

Quote:
CK: I don't really want to speak about it except to say I'm not sure it's a horror project. I think it's going to be scary, but if people are expecting a horror genre thing, I think they'll be disappointed.
S.J.R.: Is it something you came up with the story on and are developing with Spike or is it something you came up with together and pitched like you did with Michel on Eternal Sunshine?
CK: No, it's something that Spike and I talked about in a very vague way and we were able to sell it in a very vague pitch because the studio was the studio we did Adaptation with and they wanted to do something else with us. I'm writing it in this way that I'm not even clear on what I'm doing. I'm just kind of compiling stuff right now. I don't even know what it's entirely going to be, which excites me, but it's scary, I guess.

And:

"I have no interest in making a genre horror movie, so I keep trying to make sure that?s not what I am doing, so I keep trying to figure out what?s really scary, not what?s scary in movies because that is too easy."

Jesus (pun intended).

After parts 1 and 2 there is someone still waiting to see part 3? :o I know, it's a matter of taste and everyone has their own, I just can't understand how it is possible that people actually like it.

Yes the poster is Korean, the movie aint...

Set in Canton, China in the 1940s, the story revolves around a hapless wannabe gangster who
aspires to become a member of the notorious "Axe Gang." Other characters include an obnoxious
landlady and her apparently frail husband who exhibit extraordinary powers in defending their turf.

I don't like new movies that much. Still got WAAAAY to many old ones to catch up on.

Richard Kelly (Donnie Darko) has a few projects. Will he remain a one-hit-wonder?

Boondock II: All Saints Day????

The Brothers Grimm might be good. Gilliam.

Necropolis (2005) ??? Good title, and by Vincenzo Natali (cube, cypher, nothing) but written by Paul W.S. Anderson!!! =(

Wish Takeshi Kitano would make a new one soon.

Darren Aronofsky has a few anounced at least. Will be interesting to see what he can do.

Roman Polanski is apperantly coming out with Oliver Twist. I'll check that out for sure!

I'll check out Burton and Cronenberg of course, but other than that?

Checked the Plasma Pool, to see the 'others' section and try to remember which others I should check up on, but the page is down. =(

PS: Tnx for the new Chow film. =)
