We've all had em......Interlaced (near) uncroppable 4:3 movies...

And one still wishes to fit it on one cd at a good Resolution AND Bitrate.......
Needless to say- At least one has to give in somewhat.....

Which one is the first to go in your approach ?
Which deinterlace you apply ?

Ever did a job you wish you could erase your name from it ?

hehe,
that;s why i put 'very very bad rip.avi' in the tag. or the
'ripped by monkeysmasher,
this isnt a tag,
its a WARNING!
PREVIEW first-
Or Bitch Later!"

i noticed the ones i dont deinterlace show up fine for me, but very lined for PAL tv-video outputs. Also running an interlaced rip fullscreened gets rid of the lines/bar effect, at least for me.

one my first rips was 'house by the cemetary'. it may have been my first done. it took over 40 hours on this computer, and when it was done i couldnt watch it because my comp was too slow to play dvd-rips. guy said he previewed it and it looked fine, but i have it now and it is seriously fucked up. i cropped it wrong and looks like its in tha panoramic widescreen, like 800 width x 244hight. eh, if anyone has this, im sorry.

for deinterlace, i dont think i ever get it to work right in gknot, or i go for basic in divx5.xx.
dont do many dvds, but lots of caps, those i merge both fields thru my capture software. just getting one field i think looks flickery(i guess is the word).
