Back after almost a month (1000 posts!)

MCMLXXXVIII

I moved house at the start of the month and BT failed to carry over my BB or provide any reason why so they got cancelled!

I'm getting it from UKonline since Thursday but their service is so far anything but ideal: varying speeds around 3MB (they promised me 8MB), almost no upload (anyone know the best way to check this?), sluggish at times and the service cuts out intermittently (but still on so far today after 2 and a half hours).

The fact that I have reached 100 posts has cheered me up though.

Ah, I tried that speed test earlier today, it hangs at the upload testing stage. :cry:

UK Online turned out to be hopeless (look them up at adslguide!), so I cancelled them (during the 10 day trial period thankfully) and hope to get on with freedom2surf in a week or two.

Until then it's the local library for net access. :roll:
