Unfortunately I wouldn't say any of those were particularly scarey... especially not Return of the Living Dead!

He asked for two things, best horror movie and scariest horror movie, that don't have to be the same. IMO. the best horror movie isn't particuarly scarey, but none of them really are.

I hate it when someone asks what's a scarey movie, because I normally respond:
"What are you? A woman? Bloody Scream fans..."

Criteria I got was a scarey film. Gore helps.

I don't find many films scarey so I'm of little help I'd imagine

The Entity (1981)

That's the only movie I can recall of being "scared" when I watched it. Every time when that "thing" (<-- Good movie btw  ) would enter the house, there would be that awful pounding noise. Don't know why, but that really scared me :-o

Carla Moran awakens one night to find herself being beaten and raped by an unseen presence. Terrified of what's happening to her, and shunned by friends and family who think she's lost her mind, she seeks help from parapsychologists. The researchers soon discover that evil spiritual force has been drawn to Carla and is responsible for the violent attacks. The question now, however, is how do they stop it? Based on a supposedly true story.

I thought that "The Ring", and also its predecessor "Ringu" were both damn scary.

Though they aren't that gorey.

"The Last House on the Left" is less scary than just fucking disturbing, but it's pretty gorey. Gorey in a horrible way. I can't even watch that movie because it's so jacked up.

What else. I don't know, dude. Most of the movies mentioned already are pretty good.

I hear that sex tape they made of that professional phoney wrestler Chyna or China or whatever is pretty horrifying. Or you could watch (Or rewatch) the Tara Reid booby slip. That was pretty sick.
