Indeed. I can't imagine watching any of the Coleman Francis movies (Beast Of Yucca Flats, Red Zone Cuba, Skydivers)without Joel/Mike and the bots. Let alone Manos. :wacky:

Ignore them. They are all crazy with not the least bit of taste. You are absolutely right with mst3k.

I'm not offended in the least, but I am shocked. The MST3K crew loves bad movies (or good if it's your opinion, but still) like that one. There were about 150-180 episodes if I'm not mistaken, and they'd watch at least 10 movies before they selected one that would be easy to riff on. That's well over 1000 crappy movies watched, and most loved the selection process. While some of the movies weren't that bad, others were just god-awful.

And if you're pissed that they 'ruin a good movie' keep in mind that they liked a lot of the ones they showed, and just took advantage of the cheesiness. And if you're pissed you're unable to locate the original copies of the movie, a majority of the DVD releases contain the original film and the MST3K version of the film. The only reason why most of the episodes aren't readily available on VHS/DVD is because they have to track down the people who originally owned the rights, which is tough for most of the crap they show. A lot of the stuff was sent in by the filmmakers themselves, too, so MST3K could be the only release some of these movies had.

I'll have to look into the mst3k version and see if it has it on it then... I was un-aware that they did that. I usually just pay them no nevermind, as they irratate me.

*EDIT

I've watched a bunch of them, and almost all were hillarious, and the origianl movie terribly bad. These are a few MST3K I liked:

Deathstalker And The Warriors From Hell
Village of the Giants
Horrors of Spider Island
Diabolik
This Island Earth

Seening those films without the MST3K crew there would be something close to torture.

I watched Soultaker without MST3K. That WAS torture. I've never turned off a movie before, but this came pretty damn close. I can't wait to get the MST3K'd version and see them tear it apart.

And yeah, some of the movies are available on individual DVD's. Like I said, they have to track down the rights to these movies again to release the episodes, and it's pretty damned easy to do that if it's already got its own.

EDIT: I really still don't get how you can have such a strong dislike for the MST3K crew. They liked (most)of those movies as much as you guys, and you'd have to be lying to say they aren't cheesy in the least. The others just flat-out deserved it.
