Hi all,
I know this is a pre-emptive strike, but can anyone confirm that they are going to rip this when it's aired on June 10?
Ta,
ML

not as strange as the version we are talking about. Recording to an interview with Stuart gordon there must be some violent scenes featured that were told to be lost forever. (E.G. some brain sucking through the eye!)

as predicted you can download it from a.b.hdtv via newsgroups as an uncompressed HDTV .ts stream. Someone seems to have compressed it to dvdr on alt.binaries.multimedia.horror too.
The nzb listing i use has the listing incomplete for the ts file atm, when they next do their update hopefully they'll have the whole thing.
ps. If you've got no idea what any of that means, its for people who have newsgroup access.

if your working from the source and not the dvdr sure. Are you going to resolution preservation or downsizing?

Its the classic "From Beyond". MonsterHD is an american horror channel that runs exclusive HDTV prints of horror movies.
So essentially the print is better than any DVD or other version to date, and apparantly contains footage that was thought to be lost.
Given that From Beyond is a very good film, even an upgrade in print quality is desirable, but we get that, and some more lost footage to boot

Does anyone want this?
I've got it as either the .ts files OR transcoded to 8 1Gb mpeg files

I'd be very interested in whichever version has better quality!

They're pretty much identical
I think 2xdvd sized .ts files would be best, I'll get the links up later

they are identical, .ts is a container for mpeg2, mpg being an alternative. Think avi vs. mkv, ogm, etc.
My newsgroups didn't have it complete, but i'd love to see a resolution preserving copy for my records. Then again it will probably be on bluray eventually anyway.
