I had never heard of this before seeing a glimpse of the poster on that Going to Pieces documentary, but it looks like one of those post 84/85 slashers that tried to squeeze more juice out of the said rotten orange... meaning this is supposed to be inventive, have a new approach and so on... it's more of a nightmare on elm street type of slasher, anyways, trailer looks great:
