O.K did a search in here but came up with nothing!

Now the copy available on the network is severally out of sync, although some people managed to watch it without noticing  (*cough *cough /PCA  )

So has anybody managed to find a version that is in synch.

How hard would it be to resynch? Never tried to be honest.

Just came across the cd while I was catalogueing (Yes I'm still doing that  )

I'm sure there was a discussion thread on here about it being out of synch. Maybe is was SR.

Thanks for any help.
As this is one of those films that you have to see!

It would be a piece of cake to re-synch :)
The reason I didn't notice (in my defence  )is that I use xboxmediaplayer to watch films and just press up and down to synch the audio (which would also give you the ms delay/advance in order to re-synch)

I might buy the DVD and give it the STR treatment as the version already out isn't all that on the quality stakes :)

I can never figure out how that XBMP feature works?

So if i load it up through XBMP and use the d-pad (not the stick) you get that m/s delay box appear at the top, right?

I tried it with some episodes of family guy that were out a synch, but no matter which way i went +/- it didn't work

If I can get xbmp to re-synch, then problem solved!

Will try tonight!

I use the remote so I don't know what it is on the pad (d seems likely) works fine, BUT you have to give it time to re-synch (a couple of seconds should do it)

It can't be synchronized that easily because the "extent" of desync changes with time. First it is ok, then it get more and more desynced, then it gets better, and then desynced again and so on.

Remote? It works in XBMP

Man, adding that to my xmas list then

@ Polityk, yeah, I remember there being a thread some where on here/SR/FH where people discussed Blood Sucking Freaks and I'm sure it was resolved by saying that the synching is impossible due to what you mention

Alright, I'll get on it tomorrow. Just give me a little time for 2 reasons...

1) Learning curve...I am a releasing virgin

2) I'm a freakin' perfectionist...it'll have to be a perfect rip before I'll put it up

It's really not a bother, but if you prefer that I didn't, that's fine. Just thought I would help out if it was still needed. :)

Addix, if you want to release this, go ahead STR have 2 releases before Christmas, but then wont release anything until the New Year.
So feel free. Just make sure the quality's good ;) or we'll do an internal and release anyway

OK, it's encoding now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed (first try) because I'm a little concerned that I may have some interlacing issuses with this one.

Well good luck as long as the quality's OK and the sound is in synch it will be an improvement on the version already out there

if you are using gknot, make sure convolution3d is being used (medium/heavy deinterlacing). No problems will crop up. If your not using gknot, take a gander at the guides at doom9. It is the best program out for encoding bar none.

Hmmm...how would one make sure that convolution3d is being used? I'm using gknot.

You can select one of the other deinterlace options (5th+ option down) and add a noise filter for gknot to automatically apply em :)

I used field deinterlace with no noise filter. It looked good in the preview, but I'll more than likely have to redo it. Ah well, I knew it wasn't realistic to think it would come out perfect on my first try...besides this fits into my normal methodology (I'm a try it...tweak...try...tweak... kind of person). Thank you for all your help! :) I know these questions don't belong in this forum (sorry), so if I have any more, I'll start a topic in the Newbie forum.
