the black hole - 1979

ImageImageImage

A space crew travelling the cosmos runs into a long-missing craft, manned by Dr. Hans Reinhardt. Upon meeting Reinhardt, the astronauts discover that he is not only insane, but steadfast in his efforts to travel through a nearby "black hole", an abyss from which no one can escape. Matters worsen when Reinhardt holds the crew captive, after realizing that they can help him reach his goal. The squad must now figure out a way to flee from Reinhardt -- before it's too late... This attempt to gain a piece of the 'Star Wars' audience was also Disney's entry into the world of the PG rating. The film, not a huge success in 1979, has since gained a cult following due to its ominous tone and innovative visual design and effects

I've had The Black Hole (1979).Widescreen.Gowenna.avi in my cue for ages, but paused.. Seeing it to be a Gowenna rip this probably means 2 things:
1. Very well spread
2. Divx 3 or 4 codec, and not perfect quality

ahh.. I never understood this: Why do anyone use Xvid?!?!? I can't see any difference in quality from divx5. And am I wrong or wasn't the purpose of xvid to have a format that you didn't have to pay royalties to anyone (the same with ogg)? But why the heck use it when you're making an 'illegal' rip anyway?!?

well, the chubby robots look a "bit" ridicolous, but I liked it pretty much. anyway. Good late 70's stuff. Nice technical scenes also thinking the age of the movie. :wacky:

Hope the time hasn't goldened your memories Gorehound
