Is this movie worth downloading? Not as in the flm as in the rip... The film is worth getting imho

Very shoddy rip, and despite it's filename i suspect it is infact a VHS-rip. The filesize is undersized, the video quality is sub-par and fullscreen, and the audio is encoded badly.

Has anyone got nice clean dvdrips of this movie?

I've got Return of the Living Dead 1+3 :D

But I'm afriad bog standard VHS rips are all you can expect for Numero 2, untill the DVD is actually released

No idea why there isn't a DVD of the second one is it's the best one i reckon!

But unless theres a Laserdisc cap floating around then I would go for this Jynk's as no dvd release is scheduled for the future

no way, the first is the best with the unstoppable zombies; better storyline and script methought too. :)

Oh and just to show I'm not joking about the quality of number two:

And those are from low-motion scenes!!!! Pretty crappy.

Anyone want a re-rip of this, or have a better version?

MaxPayne has a better version that he could release, although not sure how much better it is!

Yeah sorry Number 1 is the best one and I liked it the most, but I found number 2 the funniest.

So I meant from comical point of view 2 is better but on a whole you can't beat the first!

Plus it had a fully maked chick in!
As a kid that was sweeeeet :P

It has NO official DVD release, so any copies out there are either VHS caps or possibly digital copies from a LaserDisc

No sign of future release either, whats that about :?

I've always thought that ROTLD gets a raw deal in comparison to other zombie flicks, 1 is superb and 2 is a comedy extravaganza ;)
3 is shit though, and I'm not holding out much hope for number 4 either.

Sorry to nitpick, but Laserdisc isn't digital BTW :)

YES I know - I have Pioneer CLD D925 Player, in all it's Analogue Glory.

Man I'm being miss read alot at the mo!

Would people not take everything literally :P

I said a digital copy taken from a laserdisc.

Like satan questioned a DVDR copy of the film.

If you wanted as good a copy as you could get then a dvdr of the laserdisc would be your best bet.

I'll try and be more clear for future refrenece

Just when you're typing so fast and trying to fit in posting around your work you don't have much time to reread posts - hehe :P

LOL :P
Thats a good idea mate. Work around Posts!
I'm going to ask my boss for a laptop with wireless internet connection, for HHAH posting. Shouldn't be a problem :P

Plus me saying Laserdisc is digital is like you saying XboX is Sony  You Know Better!!!

I think the eventual DVD release will result in a big Scene/ed2k/FTP race to be the first to release, as it is sort after!!!

okay so Max has a copy? Coolness. VHS or LD cap btw?

I could try a capture if there's interest and see the quality comparison, would look like Monster Squad most likely :)

Just watched Return of the Living Dead again last night for the first time in ages... last time I was still in school... MAN THIS MOVIE ROCKS!!! I think it was the most enjoyable movie I have seen in ages!! top class stuff....

I have decided to downlaod this rip of epII even though everyone says it is fucked copy... also found a 2nd version on kad search by searching "return of the living dead II" Downloading that as well and will post conparison screens.

Also I thought for ages that the "running" zombie was a taint on the gener by 28 Days.. not so RotLD has em as well.

yup, the newer reanimated run or more accurately hobble along.

In part 2 they run down the guards who are machine gunning them ;)
However, most of them do walk. :)

Lately saw the new Dawn of the Dead and was a bit repelled by the running zombies. For my taste they were too 'determined' to get their flesh. Much of the horror from zombies comes from the fact that a single one might not be too dangerous, but from the fact that there are so many of them. You can hide for some time, but someday you have to come out to find food, and then they are still there, waiting.

Btw, anyone wondered how someone can be surprised by a zombie? Hey, they are corpses and at least the older ones should stink that you can smell them from quite some distance.

ROTLD was a great, great movie, one of my very faves. Two is shite, and you shouldn't waste your time looking for a good rip, not worth the bandwidth. I almost turned it off, and I've sat through Soul Survivors, Darkness Falls, and Killjoy without a problem... it's that damn bad :-o
