Good version of Evil Dead - Within The Woods

Anybody know if one exists?

I have the crappy quality version that looks like it was recorded by a guy off the street with a regular cam.

Last I read, Ramiri "lost" the original spool for the film, and this is the only copy that is available through the web. I'd be happy to share this copy on the site if nobody can offer a better quality copy.

This version isn't really worth releasing on the main page, not IMO at least. I'm surprised I didn't see somebody get up for the toilet half way through.

It's quite good, though, how the "real" Evil Dead movie (Book of the Dead), followed this storyline pretty straight. Except with a few minor twists. Also, the Book of the Dead movie was a far better movie all around.

And before people think that I don't know, I DO know that Within the Woods was just made in order to get funding for the Book of the Dead movie.

It was supposed to be on book of the Dead release, but wasn't allowed to be put on (yeah right

eh, it should be on the main page, its like 'film history'.
the crappy copy everyone(?) has is watchable. its probably the best available at the moment. i tried running it thru some video editing software to clean it up, with mixed results.

I think, spud, that you should release ALL of the Friday 13th series (including series) and all the Freddy Movies (which I think I've already seen here ??? in preparation for the Freddy vs. Jason premier this Friday. Then, we'll get the screener copy of that up, from sharereactor or someplace like it, no doubt, and we'll have the lot :mrgreen:

Man, gotta' love them horror movies !!!
