No I haven't switched to Donkey - I never used it , and after last night's first encounter I sure as hell never will.

So with shame , I have to ask like a noob  , why this damn thing doesn't hash completed files together ! :wacky:

All we have is all those completed part files sitting there -

 First one laughing will cause the second man's death

Yes, for Windoze users it is hard to rename more than one file if you cannot do it by clicking. Nice command line tools like 'rename' exist only for mature operating systems. And of course a nice single bash line to rename a whole bunch of files at once is impossible, too. Poor Windozers. :P

actually, you can rename dozens of files at once in windows (xp at least). but since i didn't really understand the problem you're facing, geezus, i don't know if this'll help ya.

if you want to rename more than one file at once, you have to highlight all of them and then rename the first one by using the rename option in the right-mouse-button-menu. if you use eg "bastard" as the name you'll then get
bastard
bastard (1)
bastard (2)
etc.

still better is to include "(1)" in the first file already, so you get
bastard (1)
bastard (2)
etc.

afaik the only syntax you can get is "... (x)"

The damm mutt finished all part files - but instead of hashing it together to one movie as it should I now have 70 + little avi's :googley:

Aww to hell with it - I just gonna yell to him that he should have gone for MUle in the first place :prat:

I think you didn't get through because you didn't actually say that, infact you said something completely different ;)

part files = a single file as it was intended
chunk = a chunk of a part file.

You seem to be calling chunks, parts, which they aren't. 70 part files is 70 different files (ie. 70 different downloads) that don't go together in the first place, 70 chunks = 70 chunks of a single part file, which i now take it you mean?

Anyway, never even heard of a part file exploding into its single chunk pieces but that's what you get for using redundant software tell him, he's going to have to append them all in nandub manually.
