I dunno what it is then, you seem to be in the same kettle of fish. Can't imagine what you have / haven't done, if anything, to make it not work.

Try switch powershare to activated and see if anything happens, it might be a case of juggling settings and restarting the client.

Dunno though, your best bumping the topic @ emule-project if that's the same problem. I'm sirob knows his program best to provide an answer.

Thanks I'll try and experiment a bit with it, and then try the official forum.

The iONiX mod gave me the exact same problem, it looks like they are based on the same code.

well sirob mentioned something wrong with the official client in that thread. So it might be something like that.

Doesn't explain why i don't have problems though. I got a nothing fancy (well beyond hardware, meaning software) XP sP2 box patched for 150 concurrent half-open connections

Strange. Well hopefully it will be resolved in the next update, until then people are going to have to be a bit patient when trying to get my releases.

Have you got a link for that patch Spud or Instructions? I'm sure I'm patched for half-open connections but don't think it's that high.

well i don't think it could possible prevent you from using powershare, if it was a problem it would appear in your system logs, its just that's the only thing i've done none-standard to a windows xp install

No harm in trying though.

Try limiting the data rates to influence who gets how much. I am new to Morph, but have experimented a lot. Morph stacks priorities, so one file could be <slot#> FS PS Release; and it wil get priority over FS Release or PS Release, etc. So if you limit friends like client rate=10 / global rate=20, then you can limit none-FS or PS to like 5 or lower, and PS slots to global 16 client 8; compensating for your overall global upload rate. Then I'd suggest dropping all your files to very low priority and manually setting each one you want to powershare(like Spud said I think), and then those files' priority to release or high. Maybe hide some chunks of less important files, or even hiding them! Seems to work for me really well. One reason i HATE the standard emule client now, is that no matter what, well spread files you may be downloading get 50% or more of your upload rate. Trying to spread your own, where 5 people are asking, is totally over taken by the 100s of requests for something like 'devils rejects' screener. Morphxt rules at eliminating that. Some have said its a 'leech' client, but I don't see it. If there is another of the many clients out there that has more/better features for controlling uploads, lemme know!

How do you hide a file in Morph GrindCallus?

Just trying another mod at the minute but will try your suggestions.

I usually do it the 'old school' way and keep each movie in separate folder, then just unshare that folder, to make room for newer/rarer stuff (upload rate). BUT morph has 3 options that help out. 'Hide over share' lets you set a threshold of sources, say 30, and will hide it until the number of seen sources drops below that. It seems to work pretty well. There is also a sub-option called 'selective chunk sharing' that can be enabled; sounds self-explanatory, but I haven't used it. Then there is 'share only the need', which calculates what chunks are needed most and only shares them. Finally there is a 'Show Permission', with selections: Hidden, public, community, and friends only. The file names change colors with each, but I am not quite sure how to use it. There is some kind of community tag field in the morph options, where you can list tags and filter them into the community permission; again that is half speculation, as I haven't noticed a difference (or maybe used it properly). People that click links may override the show permission, or something, not quite sure.
Hope that helps! I like playing with this shit so if I can drop any new knowledge here, I will. let me know what you think of any other mods, too. Ihave only been using emule for 9 months or so, much better than DC++ which I used before.
