I use MorphXt 6.7 , and i upgrade it to the latest version ( i did exact the menthoned steps )

but i have a series problem
the total download less with the new versio
when i get back to the old version it come back to normal speed

plz can anyone explain this to me as i like the newer version of MorphXT

did you keep your userhash or dump it? I suspect you did a new installation right?

Well the problem with that is that you loose already credits. On the other hand, dropping just the updated exe in emule tends to keep all the bozzy settings and cause problems, but normally works (if you did this disregard)

Some people just have problems with certain versions for no assertable reason, the upload and download traffic shaping changes, some tweak or setting that kills your line, etc. normally are the kulprits.

cryptkey.dat and preferences.dat are what your user hash depends on, clients.met contains credit info of the people that have uploaded to you. (I think that's right)

You can copy them over in order to keep your credits.

there's a sticky thread which tells you what to do on emule-project anywya.


Aside:
The problem i have with updates is the sheer volume of temp files... tends to crash my emule. luckily there's the excellent "import part files" under tools. Just copy all your part / part.met into a new directory then import and delete them after success.
