Not at all, but I don't think they'll care one bit. The site is legit and fine. I think that wouldn't stop them attacking ed2k sites though if they could. When ed2k servers were raided they are reported the only thing a technician did was go in and check the irc logs. I reckon if they ever busted a site owner of say SR or FN then they would do everything they could legal or not to clore through every aspect of a site, memberlist, etc.

Hardly big pickings next to drug dealers, murderers, mafia, corruption, etc.

i would think the mpaa is just doing preliminary scoping of this site. they are at the collection of data, cross referencing, and compiling marketing research on this niche of horror film requests, number of people wanting specific old films, remarks, age groups, demographics, all sorts of shit i couldnt even comprehend.
it doesnt matter if this site is 'techniquely' legal, or at least at the moment it is kosher, apparently so was sharereactor, but its still gone, and they owner has quite a lot of legal fees piling up. wether he wins the case(doubtfull),is aquitted, gets found guilty and charge with trillions of dollars in fines, or takes a out of court settlement/plea bargain, it still costs probably ALL his money, even with donations. Say, on some unlikely, very very very unlikely chance he wins, and maybe the copyright police are required to reimburse the costs he paid for the legal entanglement, they have teams of lawyers who's job is just to keep appealing, throwing in injunctions,twisting, lieing,bending or breaking the law so they never actually pay his costs, meanwhile filing more, and more, and more charges against the dude. a judge may forbid the industry from pressing nuisance suits, but that wont stop them from doing the same thing to his family, his friends, anybody on his buddy list, blacklist him, parody him on a comercial/sitcom, harrass him until he breaks. the people who run these big corporations, the mpaa/riaa/wipo/whatever, they arent even fucking people anymore, they are commitee thinkers with noone individually with direct responsibility to the things they do, the harm they cause.

errm i just hope spud has himself a backup plan, or at least a passport and friends in some nice nonextidition country.

GOD DAMNIT i really really hate the way the worlds going , it sucks giant humoungous hairy balls if only we could somehow get in power, i bet we could set the world to rights or is that wishful thinking on my part?
